Scrabster is expecting nine calls and an estimated 2,888 passengers this year compared to 10 and 2,234 respectively in 2012. Total gross tonnage has risen from 79,403 to 116,262 in the same period indicating the arrival of larger vessels.
This year Hammerfest in Norway is expecting 25 calls and 25,497 passengers compared to 18 and 18,212 respectively last year. Artania will be the first and last call of the season on May 25 and August 17.
Despite the 0.1% sulphur limit kicking in in 2015, Bergen already has 54 calls booked from AIDA Cruises that year which is good news for the Norwegian port situated as it is within the ECA.
