On July 19 Cork accommodated three ships in one day for the first time in its history, carrying about 7,000 passengers and crew.

Skjolden-Sognefjord to almost double its calls in 2012

Skjolden-Sognefjord is expecting 20 calls carrying 27,500 passengers in 2012 compared to 11 calls this year, according to Iren Vatne of Cruise Destination Skjolden-Sognefjord.

Amsterdam will witness its 1,000th call to the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam (PTA) during 2011, says Dick de Graaff, commercial manager PTA.

Harwich has less calls in 2010

Harwich has 26 calls booked in 2010 compared to 46 turnaround and six transit calls in 2009 bringing a total of 135,000 passengers to the east coast of England port.

Alesund increases its handling capacity in 2012
