The Port of Dover has been awarded the Park Mark Safer Parking Award once again for car parking at the Cruise Terminal and Eastern Docks.
The award is an initiative of the Associations of Chief Police Officers, and is granted to car park operators that have put in place measures to help deter criminal activity and antisocial behaviour. The UK port has participated in the safer parking scheme for 10 years.
Passengers can be certain that the area has been vetted by the police and has measures in place in order to create a safe environment such as improved lighting, signage and surveillance, including regular security patrols.
The port currently has 1,120 car parking spaces next to the terminal and short and long-stay spaces at the multistory car park based at the ferry terminal.
