The Port of Dover Cruise business is looking forward to a record year as we welcome over 300,000 passengers. Our full programme for 2010 includes the first visit of ‘Disney Magic’ which will sail from Dover on its five Northern European Capital cruises as well as first-time visits from three AIDA vessels - a result of our increasing partnership with this premium brand.
The brand new vessels Seabourn Sojourn and Costa Deliziosa will be calling for the first time as well as Tui Cruises Mein Shiff, the MV Empress from Pullmantur, NCL's Norwegian Sun, the Ocean Princess, and the Grand Mistral from Iberocruceros.
Holland America Line’s Maasdam is also a first time caller, with the signature class Eurodam operating a variety of cruises from our Kentish port. Fred Olsen and Saga continue to retain a strong presence, utilising Dover as one of their preferred turnaround ports.
There’s also exciting news for the business this year as the addition of a new Flybe route from Kent International to Edinburgh and the roll-out of the high speed rail link from Dover to London put both capitals within easy reach of our customers. It looks like another busy year ahead for Dover! From Port of Dover spokesperson
