Why become a member?

As a Cruise Europe member you have the possibility to participate in the Annual General Meeting (AGM), a forum where members can discuss relevant matters, network and meet with industry executives. We would also like to encourage you to visit our website www.cruiseeurope.com where you can see how our members are profiled.

Cruise Europe offers two types of membership according to the number of passengers of a port per year. This means that we divide our members in two categories:

  • member port  -  up to 149,000 passengers per year

  • principal member port – more than 150,000 passengers per year

Both groups have full access to our organisation, network, activities and tools.
The yearly membership fee for member ports is € 1500, plus a onetime additional admission charge of  € 1500. The first payment amounts to a total of € 3000.
For principal member ports the fee is € 3000 with a onetime additional admission charge of € 3000, meaning an invoice of € 6000 for the first year.

Once your application is approved and the membership fee received then you’ll get a login account. This personal code will enable you to have access to our exclusive member area within the Cruise Europe website where you create your own port profile online.

The organization

• Iceland & Norway

• Europe’s West Coast

The objectives

Today the most important objectives for Cruise Europe are:

• To coordinate the four regions

• To market Northern and Western Europe as a unified cruise destination

• To maintain close connections with the cruise lines, particularly on such matters as future deployment, safety issues and environment

• To cover the interests of the members in all matters concerning the ECC (European Cruise Council)

The member benefits

A strong network

Through Cruise Europe, you become part of a strong network comprised of other member ports, cruise line decision-makers, tour operators and members of the press who look to Cruise Europe for stories for both trade and consumer publications.

CE helps you spreading your message

Cruise Europe represents your destination at cruise conventions that would otherwise be too costly for a single destination to have a booth and floor presence, such as the annual Cruise Shipping Convention in Miami. At such conventions, Cruise Europe representatives work hard to inform cruise line personnel about potential itineraries and provide the key selling points about member destinations.

A strong Cruise Europe website

Your destination will have a presence at www.cruiseeurope.com, designed to serve the cruise-line decision makers, travel agents, consumers and the media. Your destination will be included in Cruise Europe e-mail campaigns distributed on a regular basis to the key players in the cruise industry. The goal is to give your destination as much exposure as possible.

Feature articles and news about your destination

Cruise Europe’s contracted editors, Sue Parker and Ralph Grizzle, have been commissioned to produce feature articles and news about Cruise Europe member destinations. These articles are distributed through e-mail campaigns and are placed on the Cruise Europe web site as well as other web sites that provide additional exposure for your destination.

Business intelligence

Cruise Europe gives you access to market intelligence, including survey and statistics that would otherwise be costly to acquire on your own.

A strong voice and a neutral perspective

As a member of Cruise Europe you become part of a strong, neutral and unified voice aimed at assuring a bright future in Europe for cruising and all the benefits that cruising brings.
